A delicious and easy recipe for teriyaki pineapple meatballs, perfect for a quick weeknight meal or a party appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (20 oz) can pineapple chunks, drained
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into 1-inch meatballs.
- Place meatballs in a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, and soy sauce. Pour over meatballs.
- Add drained pineapple chunks to the baking dish around the meatballs.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through and pineapple is heated.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the teriyaki sauce.
- These meatballs can be made ahead of time and reheated.
- Serve with rice or noodles for a complete meal.
