Description
A delightful and spooky popcorn snack perfect for Halloween, featuring vibrant green colors and a sweet, salty flavor.
Ingredients
- 6 cups popped popcorn
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup green candy melts
- 1/4 cup black candy melts
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (divided)
- Halloween-themed sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. Add 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil to help with melting and smoothness.
- Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the popped popcorn and toss gently to coat. Spread the popcorn in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Melt the green candy melts in a separate microwave-safe bowl with the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil, stirring until smooth.
- Drizzle the melted green candy over the white chocolate-coated popcorn.
- Melt the black candy melts in a separate small bowl, stirring until smooth.
- Drizzle the melted black candy over the popcorn, creating a ‘witches brew’ effect.
- Immediately sprinkle with Halloween-themed sprinkles, if desired.
- Let the popcorn set completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.
- Break apart the popcorn clusters and serve.
Notes
- Ensure candy melts are fully melted and smooth before drizzling for the best effect.
- If candy melts are too thick, add a tiny bit more vegetable oil (1/2 teaspoon at a time) to reach a drizzling consistency.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
