A quick and delicious one-pan meal featuring spicy sausage, colorful bell peppers, and onions, seasoned to perfection.
Ingredients
- 1 lb spicy Italian sausage, casing removed
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 bell peppers (any color), sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional toppings: grated Parmesan cheese, fresh parsley
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the spicy Italian sausage and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the sliced onion and bell peppers to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender-crisp, about 8-10 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley if desired.

- You can use any type of spicy sausage you prefer.
