Description

These smoky stuffed mushrooms are a delightful appetizer, featuring a savory filling of crumbled bacon, melted cheese, and aromatic herbs, all baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cremini mushrooms, stems removed
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Clean mushrooms and remove stems. Chop stems finely.
  3. In a bowl, combine crumbled bacon, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and chopped mushroom stems.
  4. Stir in olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  5. Fill each mushroom cap with the bacon and cheese mixture.
  6. Place stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For an extra smoky flavor, you can add a pinch of smoked paprika to the filling.
  • If you prefer a milder flavor, you can substitute bacon with finely diced ham.
  • Ensure mushrooms are thoroughly cleaned to avoid any grit.
