A delicious and easy recipe for chicken coated in crushed Ritz crackers, offering a buttery and savory flavor.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 sleeve Ritz crackers (about 32 crackers)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Crush the Ritz crackers into fine crumbs. You can do this by placing them in a resealable bag and crushing them with a rolling pin, or by pulsing them in a food processor.
- In a shallow dish, combine the cracker crumbs, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
- Dip each chicken breast into the melted butter, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Dredge the butter-coated chicken breast in the cracker crumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs.
- Place the coated chicken breasts in a baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown and crispy. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cracker coating.
- Serve with your favorite side dishes like mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a salad.
- If you don’t have Ritz crackers, other buttery crackers can be used as a substitute.
