Description

A delicious and easy recipe for chicken coated in crushed Ritz crackers, offering a buttery and savory flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers (about 32 crackers)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Crush the Ritz crackers into fine crumbs. You can do this by placing them in a resealable bag and crushing them with a rolling pin, or by pulsing them in a food processor.
  3. In a shallow dish, combine the cracker crumbs, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the melted butter, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  5. Dredge the butter-coated chicken breast in the cracker crumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs.
  6. Place the coated chicken breasts in a baking dish.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown and crispy. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cracker coating.
  • Serve with your favorite side dishes like mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a salad.
  • If you don’t have Ritz crackers, other buttery crackers can be used as a substitute.
