A simple and delicious recipe for ricotta meatballs, perfect as an appetizer or main course.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  5. If baking, place meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.
  6. If pan-frying, add meatballs to the heated skillet and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 10-15 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite sauce.

Notes
