Description

These adorable pumpkin-shaped sliders are a festive and flavorful appetizer perfect for Halloween parties or any autumn gathering. They’re fun to make and even more fun to eat!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slider buns, cut in half
  • Cream cheese, softened
  • Green food coloring
  • Black olives, pitted and chopped

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each into a small pumpkin shape.
  3. Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the sliders for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  5. While the sliders are cooking, prepare the pumpkin stems. Mix a small amount of cream cheese with a drop of green food coloring until you achieve a green hue.
  6. Once the sliders are cooked, place them on the slider buns.
  7. Top each slider with a small dollop of the green cream cheese mixture to resemble a stem.
  8. Sprinkle chopped black olives around the top of the cream cheese for a decorative touch.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute the ground beef with a plant-based ground meat alternative.
  • You can also bake the sliders at 375°F (190°C) for about 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
  • Get creative with your pumpkin decorations! You can use small pieces of bell pepper for stems or even draw faces with edible marker.
