Description
A quick and easy pull-apart bread recipe using canned biscuits, perfect for a simple appetizer or side dish.
Ingredients
- 2 cans (8 count each) refrigerated flaky biscuits
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan or a 2-quart baking dish.
- Open both cans of biscuits and separate them into individual rounds. Cut each biscuit round into quarters.
- In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir well.
- Add the biscuit pieces to the bowl with the butter mixture and toss to coat evenly.
- If using nuts, add them to the bowl and toss again.
- Arrange the coated biscuit pieces in the prepared baking pan, stacking them slightly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter glaze, you can drizzle with a simple powdered sugar icing after baking.
- Experiment with different spices like nutmeg or cardamom for variations.
- Ensure biscuits are fully cooked to avoid a doughy center.
