Description

A quick and easy pull-apart bread recipe using canned biscuits, perfect for a simple appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8 count each) refrigerated flaky biscuits
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan or a 2-quart baking dish.
  2. Open both cans of biscuits and separate them into individual rounds. Cut each biscuit round into quarters.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir well.
  4. Add the biscuit pieces to the bowl with the butter mixture and toss to coat evenly.
  5. If using nuts, add them to the bowl and toss again.
  6. Arrange the coated biscuit pieces in the prepared baking pan, stacking them slightly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a sweeter glaze, you can drizzle with a simple powdered sugar icing after baking.
  • Experiment with different spices like nutmeg or cardamom for variations.
  • Ensure biscuits are fully cooked to avoid a doughy center.
