Description

A refreshing and delicious homemade Peach Lemonade recipe, perfect for a hot summer day. This recipe combines sweet peaches with tart lemons for a perfectly balanced drink.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 cup water (for simple syrup)
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)
  • 6 cups cold water
  • Fresh mint sprigs and peach slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the peach puree: If using fresh peaches, blanch them in boiling water for 30 seconds, then immediately transfer to ice water. Peel, pit, and slice the peaches. Place the sliced peaches in a blender and blend until smooth. If using frozen peaches, you can blend them directly.
  2. Make the simple syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Let it cool.
  3. Combine ingredients: In a large pitcher, combine the peach puree, cooled simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice. Stir well.
  4. Add cold water: Add 6 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir again.
  5. Taste and adjust: Taste the lemonade and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more sugar or lemon juice as needed.
  6. Chill and serve: Chill the peach lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Serve over ice, garnished with fresh mint sprigs and peach slices if desired.

Notes

  • For a smoother texture, you can strain the peach puree through a fine-mesh sieve before adding it to the pitcher.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar to your preference. You can also use honey or agave nectar as a sweetener.
  • If you don’t have fresh lemons, you can use bottled lemon juice, but fresh juice will yield the best flavor.
  • This lemonade can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
