Description
A classic and comforting Ham and Cheese Quiche featuring a flaky crust filled with a savory mixture of eggs, milk, ham, and cheddar cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 9-inch unbaked deep-dish pie crust
- 1 cup diced cooked ham
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk (whole or 2%)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Sprinkle the diced ham and shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the bottom of the unbaked pie crust.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Carefully pour the egg mixture over the ham and cheese in the pie crust.
- Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until the center is set and a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Let the quiche cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can substitute half-and-half or heavy cream for some of the milk.
- Ensure the ham is fully cooked before dicing and adding it to the quiche.
- If the crust starts to brown too quickly, cover the edges loosely with aluminum foil.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently in the oven or microwave.
