Description

A classic and comforting Ham and Cheese Quiche featuring a flaky crust filled with a savory mixture of eggs, milk, ham, and cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch unbaked deep-dish pie crust
  • 1 cup diced cooked ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk (whole or 2%)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sprinkle the diced ham and shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the bottom of the unbaked pie crust.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Carefully pour the egg mixture over the ham and cheese in the pie crust.
  5. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until the center is set and a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the quiche cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can substitute half-and-half or heavy cream for some of the milk.
  • Ensure the ham is fully cooked before dicing and adding it to the quiche.
  • If the crust starts to brown too quickly, cover the edges loosely with aluminum foil.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently in the oven or microwave.
