Description
A spooky and delicious Halloween-themed baked brie appetizer, featuring a ‘bloody’ raspberry or cranberry sauce topping.
Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) wheel of brie cheese
- 1/2 cup raspberry or cranberry sauce
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
- 1/4 teaspoon red food coloring (optional, for extra ‘blood’ effect)
- Crackers or baguette slices, for serving
- Fresh rosemary sprigs, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the wheel of brie on a small baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix the raspberry or cranberry sauce with the balsamic glaze. If using, add the red food coloring and stir until well combined.
- Spoon the ‘bloody’ sauce evenly over the top of the brie.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the brie is softened and warm, and the topping is bubbly.
- Carefully remove from the oven.
- Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs if desired.
- Serve immediately with crackers or baguette slices.
Notes
- For a deeper red color, use a good quality cranberry sauce or add a few drops more of red food coloring.
- Ensure the brie is at room temperature for more even melting.
- Be careful when handling the hot brie.
