Description
A quick and easy recipe for spicy Gochujang chicken, perfect for a weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Optional garnishes: sesame seeds, chopped green onions
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 30 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated chicken to the hot skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and nicely browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of gochujang to control the spice level.
- For a spicier kick, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- This chicken is delicious served with rice and your favorite steamed or stir-fried vegetables.
