Description

A quick and easy recipe for spicy Gochujang chicken, perfect for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Optional garnishes: sesame seeds, chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 30 minutes.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the marinated chicken to the hot skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and nicely browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of gochujang to control the spice level.
  • For a spicier kick, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
  • This chicken is delicious served with rice and your favorite steamed or stir-fried vegetables.
