Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces egg noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup crushed potato chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Cook until heated through, stirring constantly.
  4. Add the cooked and drained egg noodles to the skillet and stir to combine with the beef mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  7. If desired, sprinkle crushed potato chips over the cheese for an extra crunch.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
