Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 ounces egg noodles, cooked and drained
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup crushed potato chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Cook until heated through, stirring constantly.
- Add the cooked and drained egg noodles to the skillet and stir to combine with the beef mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- If desired, sprinkle crushed potato chips over the cheese for an extra crunch.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
- Let stand for a few minutes before serving.

- For a richer flavor, you can use cream of celery soup instead of cream of mushroom soup.
- Adding a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture can enhance the savory taste.
