A simple and delicious dump and bake meatball casserole recipe that requires minimal effort for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into small meatballs.
- Place meatballs in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs, ensuring they are mostly covered.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture.
- You can use pre-made meatballs to save time.
- Serve with a side salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
