Description

These cranberry turkey stuffing balls are a delightful appetizer or side dish, perfect for holiday gatherings or any occasion. They combine the classic flavors of turkey stuffing with the tartness of cranberries, all rolled into convenient, bite-sized portions.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 cup prepared bread stuffing (such as Pepperidge Farm)
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen cranberries, chopped
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: Cranberry sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, prepared bread stuffing, chopped cranberries, celery, and onion.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the beaten egg, chicken broth, dried sage, and dried thyme. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the turkey and stuffing ingredients. Mix gently until everything is well combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the balls are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with cranberry sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For a crispier exterior, you can pan-fry the balls before baking.
  • If using frozen cranberries, thaw them and drain any excess liquid before chopping.
  • Adjust the amount of herbs and seasonings to your preference.
  • These can be made ahead of time and reheated in the oven.
