Description

These Cranberry Cream Cheese Crescent Bites are a delightful and easy-to-make treat, perfect for holidays, parties, or just a simple snack. The combination of tangy cranberries, creamy cream cheese, and flaky crescent rolls creates a crowd-pleasing appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Stir in the dried cranberries.
  4. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into 8 triangles.
  5. Spread about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture evenly onto each crescent roll triangle, spreading from the wide end towards the point.
  6. Roll up each triangle starting from the wide end.
  7. Place the rolled crescent bites on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush the tops of the bites with melted butter and sprinkle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the cream cheese mixture.
  • Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for easier spreading.
  • These bites can be made ahead of time and refrigerated before baking. Adjust baking time slightly if baking from chilled.
  • You can substitute fresh cranberries (cooked down with sugar) for dried cranberries if preferred.
