Description
A delightful cotton candy flavored cheesecake that’s as visually appealing as it is delicious, perfect for celebrations or a special treat.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon cotton candy flavoring
- Pink and blue food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and ¼ cup sugar. Stir in melted butter until well combined. Press mixture onto the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Let cool completely.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and 1 cup sugar with an electric mixer until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract, sour cream, and cotton candy flavoring.
- Divide the batter into three bowls. Leave one bowl plain, add a few drops of pink food coloring to the second bowl, and a few drops of blue food coloring to the third bowl. Stir each until evenly colored.
- Pour spoonfuls of each color batter onto the cooled crust, alternating colors to create a marbled effect.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is almost set.
- Turn off the oven, crack the oven door open, and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour.
- Remove from oven and let cool completely on a wire rack. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
- Remove from springform pan before serving.
Notes
- For a smoother cheesecake, ensure cream cheese and eggs are at room temperature.
- Be careful not to overmix the batter after adding the eggs.
- The cooling process in the oven is crucial to prevent cracking.
- Garnish with whipped cream and a drizzle of cotton candy flavored syrup if desired.
