Description

A quick and flavorful side dish of Brussels sprouts glazed with apple cider and butter, ready in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the Brussels sprouts and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned in spots, about 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in the apple cider, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer, uncovered, until the cider has reduced to a thick glaze and the Brussels sprouts are tender-crisp, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  5. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • If you prefer softer sprouts, cover the skillet during the simmering time.
  • For a touch of sweetness, a drizzle of maple syrup or honey can be added along with the cider.
