A flavorful and spicy twist on the classic chicken salad sandwich, elevated with the addictive crunch and heat of chili crisp.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons chili crisp (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 4 slices of your favorite bread
- Optional: Lettuce, tomato slices for serving
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mayonnaise, chili crisp, Dijon mustard, celery, and red onion.
- Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Spoon the chicken salad mixture onto two slices of bread.
- Top with lettuce and tomato slices if desired.
- Place the remaining two slices of bread on top to complete the sandwiches.
- Slice in half and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a spicier sandwich, add more chili crisp or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- If you prefer a creamier chicken salad, add a little more mayonnaise.
