Description

A delicious and easy-to-make casserole that combines all the flavors of a cheeseburger with the crispy texture of tater tots.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen tater tots


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Stir in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the condensed tomato soup and milk to the skillet. Stir until well combined.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  7. Pour the meat mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  8. Arrange the frozen tater tots evenly over the top of the meat mixture.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
  10. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra cheeseburger flavor, you can add a tablespoon of ketchup and/or mustard to the meat mixture.
  • If you don’t have condensed tomato soup, you can use 1 cup of regular tomato soup and 1/2 cup of water.
  • Feel free to add other desired toppings like chopped pickles or lettuce after baking.
