Description
A delicious and easy-to-make casserole that combines all the flavors of a cheeseburger with the crispy texture of tater tots.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (16 ounce) package frozen tater tots
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the condensed tomato soup and milk to the skillet. Stir until well combined.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
- Pour the meat mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots evenly over the top of the meat mixture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For an extra cheeseburger flavor, you can add a tablespoon of ketchup and/or mustard to the meat mixture.
- If you don’t have condensed tomato soup, you can use 1 cup of regular tomato soup and 1/2 cup of water.
- Feel free to add other desired toppings like chopped pickles or lettuce after baking.
