Description

A quick and easy weeknight meal featuring tender, Cajun-seasoned steak tips tossed with rigatoni pasta in a rich and creamy Parmesan sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound rigatoni pasta
  • 1.5 pounds beef sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook rigatoni according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. While pasta is cooking, toss steak tips with Cajun seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak tips and cook until browned on all sides, about 3-5 minutes. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
  4. Add minced garlic to the same skillet and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and milk. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese, black pepper, and salt until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
  7. Add cooked rigatoni and steak tips to the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning to your spice preference.
  • For a richer sauce, you can use half-and-half instead of milk.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or spinach.
