Description

Experience the comforting flavors of autumn with these Apple Pie Cinnamon Rolls. A delightful twist on a classic, these rolls combine the warm spices of cinnamon with the sweet, tender chunks of apple, all swirled into a soft, doughy treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 cup finely diced apple (such as Honeycrisp or Fuji)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press the seams together to form a rectangle.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
  4. Spread the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the crescent roll dough rectangle.
  5. Sprinkle the diced apple over the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  6. Starting from one of the longer sides, tightly roll up the dough into a log.
  7. Cut the log into 8 equal-sized slices.
  8. Place the slices cut-side up in the prepared baking dish.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  10. While the rolls are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth. Add more milk if needed to reach desired drizzling consistency.
  11. Once the rolls are out of the oven, let them cool slightly in the dish before drizzling with the glaze.
  12. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For an extra burst of apple flavor, you can add a tablespoon of apple cider to the glaze.
  • Chopped pecans or walnuts can be added with the apples for added texture and flavor.
  • Ensure the apples are finely diced so they cook through evenly.
